Privacy

This website does not run advertising pixels or profiling tools. TradeSites provides simple website statistics such as page viewed, referring page, screen width, browser language and time on page. Standard server logs may also be created when the website is accessed.

Email updates

If you join the Circle email list, we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your first name. We use those details only for Circle of Strays stories, welfare updates and transparent impact reports. TradeSites stores the signup as a contact and inquiry for Circle of Strays. We do not sell these details.

Joining is optional and is never required to play the game. Each email update will explain how to stop receiving future updates.

The Care Station game

Our cat game works differently from the rest of the site, so it is worth setting out plainly.

Your colony is stored in your own browser, not on our servers. Your progress lives in your browser's local storage. We never see it. Clearing your browsing data erases it, and some browsers discard it on their own after about a week without a visit. That is why the game offers you a save code to copy and keep.

If you invite another caregiver, two things are stored. Your browser generates a random identifier for itself, and we record that identifier together with the identifier of whoever invited you. That is the entire record. There is no account, no login, no name, no email address and no password, and we cannot work out who you are from it. It exists only so the game can count how many other caregivers are feeding alongside you.

Those two identifiers are held for us by Supabase, a third-party hosting provider, and the game contacts that service when the page loads. If the service is unavailable the game simply carries on without it.

Children. The game itself does not ask for personal information. The email form is separate and optional. Children should not enter their own details. A parent or guardian may subscribe using their own email address.

Removing your data. Clearing your browser data removes your copy. If you would also like the stored identifier deleted, contact us — though because it is anonymous, you will need to send us the identifier itself, which the game shows in your invite link.
